Please read the full criteria for each category below before starting your entry. Entries must be written based around the criteria below. Entering is FREE of charge and you can enter as many categories as you see fit.

Any professional AV permanent or semi-permanent installation handed over to the client between 1 March 2017 and 28 February 2018 may be entered for the Project Excellence Awards, subject to the individual award category definitions below.
 
Projects anywhere in the world are eligible, However, the company submitting the entry (or on whose behalf it is submitted) must have at least one employee based in the UK. 
 
Anyone involved in the project may apply: integrator, distributor, manufacturer, consultant or client/end-user. 
 
Please list all of the companies involved in the project who deserve to be credited if your submission is chosen as the winner.
 
Entries should include evidence of:
> A high degree of integration between the different elements installed
> Innovative problem-solving approaches
> Elegant design – technical or aesthetic
> The degree to which the client brief was met, or exceeded
> Ease of maintenance/ongoing support
> Expansion capability/futureproofing
 
Categories:
 
Education Project of the Year
This category includes schools, colleges, universities and other learning environments such as conference centres and corporate training centres.
 
Corporate and Industrial Project of the Year
This category relates to projects in environments that are used by people while they are working, rather than by the public. It covers boardrooms, atriums, control rooms, simulation/visualisation facilities and the like.
 
Retail/DOOH Project of the Year
This category covers the overlapping worlds of retail technology and digital out-of-home technology. So any installation in a retail environment, and any DOOH installation wherever located, is eligible. 
 
Hospitality Project of the Year
Hospitality covers installations in hotels, bars, clubs and restaurants: venues where design and ambience are important considerations.
 
Visitor Attraction Project of the Year
This category is open to any installation in a museum, theme park, gallery or at a historical site – either new projects or system upgrades.
 
Venue Project of the Year
This category covers projects located anywhere that people have come to watch, and possibly participate, in a ‘show’ in the broadest possible sense. It includes, for instance, concert halls, stadiums, cinemas, arts centres, multipurpose halls - even houses of worship. There are no upper or lower limits on venue capacity.
 
These awards recognise the contribution made by a single product, or product family, to completed AV installation projects. Entries should make reference to the performance of the nominated product in the context of one or more integration projects, handed over to the client between 1 March 2017 and 28 February 2018. 
 
Technology Excellence Awards may be entered by anyone directly connected with the product (manufacturer, distributor or reseller). However, the company submitting the entry (or on whose behalf it is submitted) must have at least one employee based in the UK. 
 
Entries should include evidence of:
How the product fulfilled its function more efficiently, more cost-effectively or in some other way better than was previously possible
The best fit between the product’s features and the requirements of the project(s)
How the product emphatically sets a defining stamp on the project(s)
 
Categories:
 
AV-IT Product of the Year
Eligible products for this category include software packages, software platforms, cloud service offerings and apps. 
 
Audio Product of the Year
This category covers all parts of the audio signal chain, from microphones to amplifiers to loudspeakers, including mixing consoles and other signal processing equipment. 
 
Display/Projection Product of the Year
Included within this category are projectors, LED displays, LCD displays, videowall modules and rear-projection cube. (Projection screens should be entered in the AV Accessory of the Year category.)
 
Collaboration Product of the Year
This category is specifically for equipment that facilitates collaboration within meeting rooms and huddle spaces. Examples include collaboration hubs, in-room collaboration software, unified communications hardware and screen-sharing devices. (Software and online services primarily designed for remote collaboration should be entered in the AV-IT Product of the Year category.)
 
Signal Management/Distribution Product of the Year
This is a broad category encompassing the many technologies involved in routing, encoding/decoding, transmitting or otherwise handling AV signals between a source and a destination. (Purely audio-based technologies should be entered for Audio Product of the Year.)
 
AV Accessory of the Year
This category covers the technologies that play a supporting role in installation projects, including projection screens, mounts, furniture, installer’s tools and test equipment. Technology that assists with product choice and specification, such as online product configurators, is also eligible. 
 
Integrator of the Year
This category is open to AV integrators of any size, with at least one employee who is based in the UK. The entry should summarise the company’s performance over the period 1 March 2017 to 28 February 2018.
 
Entries should include evidence of:
Innovation – in technology and/or process
Achievement of strategic goals
Adding value to the client offering
Improved business performance
High levels of customer satisfaction
 
Distributor of the Year
This award is open to AV distributors of any size, with at least one employee who is based in the UK. The entry should summarise the company’s performance over the period 1 March 2017 to 28 February 2018.
 
Entries should include evidence of:
Innovation – in technology and/or process
Achievement of strategic goals
Adding value to the client offering
Improved business performance
High levels of customer satisfaction
 
Manufacturer of the Year
This category is open to manufacturers of hardware or software for the professional AV market. Companies may be of any size, with at least one employee who is based in the UK. The entry should summarise the company’s performance over the period 1 March 2017 to 28 February 2018.
 
Entries should include evidence of:
Innovation in technology
Achievement of strategic goals
Improved business performance
High levels of customer satisfaction
Impact on the wider industry
 
Hall of Fame Award for Outstanding Achievement by a Company - (Chosen by Installation) 
This award will be given to a company that has made a major contribution to the industry over a number of years.
 
Hall of Fame Award for Outstanding Achievement by an Individual - (Chosen by Installation) 
This award will be presented to an individual who has had a major beneficial impact on the industry in recent years.
