Alex Luke is global head of programming and content strategy for Amazon Music, with extensive experience in digital music, radio broadcasting, A&R, and venture capital.

Prior to joining Amazon in 2017, Alex was a founding member of the Silicon Valley-based venture capital firm, The Valley Fund, managing developing investments in digital media and entertainment. From 2011 – 2013, Alex was executive vp of A&R at EMI Music, where he managed artists and repertoire for North America. In this role, Alex signed Capital Cities to Capitol Records, and focused on the rosters of Capitol, Virgin and Astralwerks Records in Los Angeles with a diverse roster of artists including Katy Perry, David Guetta, and Beastie Boys. From 2003 – 2011, Alex was director of music programming and label relations globally for Apple, after serving as vice president of music programming and label relations at Napster, where he transitioned the service to a legal streaming and download platform. As a broadcaster, Alex programmed Q101 in Chicago and KPNT in St. Louis, and has served as an air talent at numerous stations including KDGE Dallas and KROQ in Los Angeles.
